Discover Kingsburgh, Skye

Welcome to Kingsburgh, Skye – and the historic stone boathouse situated on the coast of Loch Snizort, North Skye – probably the ideal romantic hideaway.

Dating from Jacobite times, the Kingsburgh Boathouse is arguably the most luxurious small private retreat on Skye.  Lovingly restored in recent years by Skye’s pre-eminent craftsmen, Kingsburgh Boathouse, proudly situated on the Atlantic coast, is now a luxury self-catering cottage and is available for the enjoyment of select, discerning visitors.

A life-time Skye resident, working on the recent restoration project remarked – ‘What a location. I never knew it was here.’  Discover the seclusion, the tranquillity and the luxury.  Transport to local restaurants, such as the Three Chimneys, can be arranged – usually by car now, rather than by open boat!  But 21st Century visitors will be as appreciative as those of the 18th Century; and the ancestors would be proud of the restoration project and of the hospitality now offered.

From Easter until end October bookings are taken on a minimum 7 night basis - usually from Saturday.  From November until Easter, short breaks of minimum 4 nights are offered. For summer 2014 the weekly rental will be 1200 and during winter 2014/15 it will be 850.
